With a history spanning over four decades, Gates Law (formerly Gates & Herle) has been a trusted legal firm serving clients in and around Regina since its establishment in 1979 by Ronald G. Gates, Q.C. and William J. Herle. Building upon this strong foundation, Angela K.M. Kruk took over and has brought a wealth of experience from her previous work in the Crown corporation sector to Gates Law.

Born and raised on a family farm in rural Saskatchewan, Angela knows the value of hard work, dedication and service. She has spent around 20 years developing legal skills that focus on the client’s needs.
Having obtained both a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Saskatchewan, Angela possesses a solid educational foundation. Her extensive business law experience spans the public and private sectors, ensuring comprehensive expertise in meeting clients’ needs.

She is passionate about helping you achieve your legal goals and objectives, and her approachable demeanour creates a supportive and comfortable environment. Nathan
student-at-law
Nathan comes to Gates Law after previously working in finance and then for the federal government. He completed his Juris Doctor degree in 2024 at the University of Saskatchewan College of Law, where he also studied the common law in French, graduating from the CCLF program. He previously studied political science at the University of Regina, minoring in history.
As an articling student, Nathan is looking forward to gaining experience and providing sound and reliable legal advice to the people of Saskatchewan.
Nathan has been married to his wife Athanasia for 12 years. They have two children.

Paralegal
Ellen is a seasoned paralegal with 20+ years of experience, 18 of which have been dedicated to Gates Law. Specializing in estates, residential and commercial real estate, and corporate/commercial matters, she brings valuable expertise to our team.
In addition to her legal role, Ellen efficiently manages bookkeeping tasks for our firm. Her extensive experience and meticulous attention to detail help ensure exceptional service for our clients.

With a friendly and welcoming personality, Kelly has been an integral part of Gates Law for 16 years. Handling reception duties, file assistance, and bookkeeping responsibilities, she ensures a smooth and efficient operation. Clients appreciate her warm greetings and helpful demeanour, making their experience at our firm exceptional.
Jenessa

Jenessa joined our family in 2024 and is very quickly learning about many of our different practice areas. She is learning and growing in the fast-paced area of real estate transactions. Her compassion and friendly demeanor are a great asset to our team when assisting clients in the area of estate administration. Jenessa is also assisting our corporate clients with all of their corporate compliance needs.
